The Indigo Ancestry Exhibition at Ecobank Nigeria’s Adire Lagos Fair 2025
Spotlight on Queen Ronke’s Adire Oodua Textile Hub talent at Adire Lagos.
Ecobank Nigeria has officially launched the much-anticipated fourth edition of Adire Lagos Exhibition Fair, a cultural and commercial event dedicated to promoting Nigeria’s indigenous fashion and textile industry and supporting small and medium enterprises. Queen Ronke’s Adire Oodua Hub presented an exhibition called Indigo Ancestry at the 4 day event.
“It’s been an incredible experience and honour to, once again, be part of Ecobank’s Adire Festival 2025. This year, our exhibition features the versatility and beauty of Adire in home decoration.
“Adire is more than a fabric; it is a story, a spirit, and a symbol. In home décor, it becomes a way to surround yourself with meaning, with ancient symbols that speak through generations. When you bring Adire into your personal space, you're not just decorating, you’re honouring heritage, craftsmanship, and identity. Culture is the best accessory; it never goes out of style, and it always tells the truth about who we are.
"It brings me great joy to share that we will be bringing this spirit to London for Africa Fashion Week London 2025, where the Adire story will continue to unfold through art, fashion, and immersive experiences."
— Her Royal Majesty Queen Ronke Ademiluyi-Ogunwusi, Founder, Adire Oodua Textile Hub & Africa Fashion Week London

“Elu”, the Yoruba word for indigo, represents far more than colour—it is a deep symbol of African heritage, identity, and resilience. This exhibition celebrates the rich cultural, spiritual, and artistic legacy of indigo dyeing traditions across Yoruba land and the African continent.
At the heart of the exhibition are historic adire textiles—hand-dyed fabrics that reflect centuries of indigenous knowledge and craftsmanship. These traditional pieces are reimagined through contemporary design and furnishings, highlighting the revival of indigo in modern African fashion, art, and home décor.
The Indigo (Elu) Ancestry Exhibition invites visitors to rediscover the enduring power of Elu; a timeless thread connecting Africa’s past to its creative future.
