5. Photography & Media Consent
By attending, participating in, or working at Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL), all visitors, designers, exhibitors, sponsors, models, photographers, videographers, hair and make-up artists, and other participants acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. AFWL Media Rights
AFWL and its authorised partners may photograph, film, record and live-stream all events. By attending or participating, you grant AFWL the irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use your image, likeness, name, voice and any photographs or video footage captured during the event for marketing, promotional, editorial, educational and archival purposes across all media, including websites, social media, press, television, digital advertising and future promotional materials, without further notice or compensation.2. Designer Media Rights
Models participating in AFWL acknowledge that the designers whose collections they wear may photograph or film them during fittings, backstage, rehearsals and on the catwalk. Models grant those designers permission to use such images and footage to promote their brand, collections, products, lookbooks, websites, social media channels, advertising, press features and other marketing materials, without further compensation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.3. Participant Consent
Designers, exhibitors, speakers, performers and sponsors also grant AFWL permission to use photographs and video featuring their collections, products, branding and activities for promotional purposes.4. Photographer & Videographer Agreement
Photographers and videographers accredited by AFWL agree to provide AFWL with a selection of high-resolution edited images and/or video footage from the event for AFWL's promotional, editorial and archival use. Appropriate credit will be given wherever reasonably practicable. Photographers retain the copyright to their work unless otherwise agreed in writing.5. Commercial Use
No attendee, photographer, videographer or third party may commercially exploit AFWL branding, event footage or images for commercial resale, licensing or advertising without the prior written consent of AFWL.6. Opting Out
AFWL events are public events where photography and filming are integral to the production. While AFWL will make reasonable efforts to accommodate specific requests, it cannot guarantee that individuals will not appear in background images or video footage.
