Lesotho’s Fashion Story Comes to AFWL2026

This year, Africa Fashion Week London is delighted to welcome an inspiring delegation of four designers from the Kingdom of Lesotho who bring exceptional artisanship, cultural heritage and contemporary design.

With a proud history of textile production and garment manufacturing, Lesotho is rapidly emerging as a destination for innovative fashion and design. Today's Basotho designers are combining traditional handcraft with modern aesthetics, transforming creativity into enterprise and showcasing the country's cultural identity.

The delegation's participation is supported by Team Europe, with the European Union and the German Government supporting the Government of Lesotho in strengthening the country's private sector, promoting entrepreneurship, and creating sustainable employment opportunities.

Africa Fashion Week London provides the ideal platform for this next step. More than a catwalk, AFWL connects designers with buyers, retailers, media, educators and industry leaders, creating opportunities for collaboration, export and long-term business growth.
